Silverion is different to any camp you will attend because of its unique Tolkien inspired medieval setting. The mission of Silverion is to facilitate an encounter with Christ through meaningful activity, experience, mystery and adventure. The camp aims to help young boys and girls to embrace their baptismal call to be disciples and the light to the world. The setting of Silverion is detailed, expansive and full immersion with the purpose of encouraging an authentic encounter with Christ. The camp begins on Friday afternoon finishing on Sunday midday.
Silverion is an independent organisation, taking necessary measures to secure adequate safeguarding as per the Catholic Diocese of Charleston. Silverion has sought the aid of priests and religious for the spiritual formation of the young men and women. Their teaching and theology is in line with the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church and their mission aligns with that of Silverion in that their every hope is to draw young men and women into the love of Christ.
The close-knit Silverion team members are passionate about the cause of Silverion and work tirelessly to provide a safe and exciting experience for each young person who attends. Parents of campers are welcome to attend the camp given they provide their own accommodation at the camp.
